OWANECO - Leah McConnell, 84, of Owaneco died Monday, Nov. 6, 2006, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Pana.
She was born Aug. 30, 1922, in Beecher City, the daughter of Beverly Logan and Nellie Taylor Larimore. She married Raymond McConnell in 1948 in Taylorville; he preceded her in death.
Mrs. McConnell was a self-employed housekeeper. She was a member of Owaneco Methodist Church.
Survivors: four sons, Dennis McConnell of Peoria, Bruce McConnell of Owaneco and Dean (companion, Crystal Pounds) and Deon (wife, Mary) McConnell, both of Taylorville; daughter, Nancy (husband, Steve) Law of Taylorville; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Cleda R. Woods of Taylorville.
Services: 2 p.m. Thursday, Shafer Funeral Home, Taylorville, the Rev. Linda Vonck officiating. Burial: Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville.
