My name is Robert Thomas. I am the North Carolina State Representative for the U.S. Branch of the Clan MacThomas Society of Scotland. We recruit members whose ancestors were traditionally from Northeastern Scotland. The surnames typically associated with Clan MacThomas are: Combie, McColm, McComas, McComb(e)(s), McCombie, McComie,
McComish, MacOmie, MacOmish, Tam, Thom, Thomas, Thoms, and Thomson, as well as all their variant spellings. Your ancestral name is part of a proud and honorable Highland Clan with deep roots in the Glen Shee area of Scotland. Therefore, I would like to invite you to become a supporting member of the U.S. Branch of the Clan MacThomas Society of Scotland. We are an International Clan Society with branches in Australia, Canada, Germany, New Zealand, South Africa, United Kingdom, USA, and Zimbabwe. We have an interesting and detailed Clan history and are available to assist with questions regarding
genealogical research.

Andrew Patrick Clayhills MacThomas of Finegand, FSA, (Scot), 19th Chief of the Clan serves as the President of the Clan MacThomas Society. Additionally, Chief Andrew MacThomas of Finegand is a member of the Standing Council of Scottish Chiefs. Robert W. MacThomas, of Maine, is the U.S. Branch Convenor. You may contact him at: . Likewise, please feel free to contact me at for more information concerning Clan MacThomas history, genealogy, upcoming society events in NC, or society membership. Please visit our homepage at: . I look forward to reply.

Robert E. Thomas,
NC State Representative
