Samuel McCollum, 1831 Londonderry to Philadelphia, and possible brother Isaac.

I apologize I dont have many details, but about a year ago I did some research on my family tree. What I knew was my great grandfather's name, Murray "Nick" (Nicholas?) McCollum and pretty certain his father's name was William.

What I seemed to find from censuses (nothing of which I wrote down while I had the chance, foolishly) seems to indicate that my line of McCollum's came to America by way of an unmarried Samuel McCollum in 1831, sailing from Londonderry to Philadelphia. I think he later lived with one of his sons (don't remember the son's name), or maybe grandson, with an Isaac McCollum. Both Samuel and Isaac were roughly the same age (brothers?) and were at least old enough to be the father/uncle of the family they lived with.

Could anyone help me with any pieces of this line? I think John and David might be two of the other males in my bloodline, but I dont remember for sure or what order they were in. Furthermore, I would like to know if I can find this Samuel McCollum (if he is the right ancestor for my bloodline) in Ireland or whereever he was living before sailing in 1831.
