SARAH, JAMES AND ALEXANDER MCCOLLISTER

I believe that James Newton McAlister is the son of James McAlister and his first wife, Martha Mareda who married in Wake Co., N.C. in 1819. James is listed in the 1850 Grainger Co., TN census as a "papermaker". I have found an order dated November, 1809, in which a James Mccollester (b. 1797) and his brother, Alexander (b. 1799), were apprenticed to a papermaker in Wake Co., N.C. Apparently, their mother, Sarah, was indigent and was ordered to turn over her sons for this reason. Alexander went on to marry a Polly (or Sally) Lynch in 1818 in Wake Co. I also have a record of a marriage in 1823 (in Wake Co.) between Sarah Mccollester and Joshua Linch. Does anyone have any information on any of these people?
