While I am not a descendant of your Vandelena (and I believe that is the correct spelling) McColley, I do have ties to her.
Vonda, the name she evidently went by later, was the first wife of my grandfather William Asa Miles. I have, at home, the names of their children. I'll be happy to share them.
I have names for offspring of Amos and Louise E McColley only from the 1860 census. At that time, Vandelena was the youngest of 4 (Sarah M., Cordelia, Thomas J and Vandelena). I'd appreciate getting information about the subsequent children.
My mother, the half-sister of William Asa's and Vonda's children, shared a few tales about them before she died in 1996. To say that she thought highly of them would be an understatement.
