I now have reason to believe that it was Robert McColl who married Mary Kidd. Both were born approxiamately 1796. I can find no death certificates for Robert or Mary. I believe they had 6 children: John c1820; Mary c1826; Archibald (my ancestor) b1829; Ann 27 Feb 1835; James c1838 and Jean (Jane) c1840. I am still unable to prove this link as Archie's death and marriage certs do not state his parents name s. I can find no birth certs for any of the above children except Ann.
