Hello all,

It has been a while since I posted to the forum and thought that I would post my interests again. I am seeking information on the following family:

John McColl was born ca. 1800 and married either a Christian McIntyre or Christian McKenzie. My wife's grandfather recalls the name McKenzie. They had the following children: Alexander born 3-21-1821 in Blaick, John McColl born 12-05-1823 in Blaich, Mary McColl born 1-1-1826 in Ardnamurchan and Jean McColl born May 1829. Mary McColl married Duncan MacTavish 11-30- 1854 in Invearay. Duncan was born 1818 and died 5-17-1874. He was the son of Dugald MacTavish and Catherine MacFarlane.

Duncan and Mary had the following children: Dugald born 1856 in Lochgilphead, John born 2-2-1860 in Lochgilphead, Chaterine born 3-3-1862 in Lochgilphead, Janet born 6-26-1864 in Lochgilphead and Mary born 6-8-1867 in Lochgilphead.

Cahterine married a Coll Gillies in 1888. Coll was the son of Alexander Gillies and Mary MacDonald. He was born May 1856 on the Isle of Mull, Kilinian and Kilmore.

Any information on the aboe families would be welcome. I am willing to share all information.

Thank you,

Keith Pitner
