Hi Marie
Henry McDaid and parents is a new piece of information I came across while exploring my ggrandmothers sister Elen (Ruddy) Toland.
My ggrandmother on my mothers side was a Ruddy of Glentogher.
What may cause confusion here as we go along is my father was a Ruddy(unrelated to the Glentogher Ruddys) of Meedenbuoy which is next to Meedenroe and very close to Meedenmore. To add to that my uncle (fathers brother) married a McDaid of Cruckglass.

To add more to the pot my grandmother on my mothers side was a Crossan of Glackmore and one of her brothers married a McColgan as did one of her sisters.

Re Henry he was baptised in Sacred Heart Church Carndonagh. I have no idea im affraid about Dominik's parents or the familys nickname. I found that Henry was living with his grandparents in Carndonagh 1911 (re 1911 census). He was 12 years old at that time and so far have been unable to find where his parents were at that time.

Confused? I am and I typed this out so hope it makes sense.

Patrick
