The only Thomas McColgin, McColgan, McColgen that appears on the 1820 Census for Kentucky is Thomas McColgin that appears in Washington County, where his father lived when John Handley died. This is cutting it close if Thomas died in Green County in 1823. I'm wonering now when the McColgins first appear in Green County = apparently the part that was taken from Nelson County.
