I have been in touch with NARA previously and obtained James McColgan's entry to the US. He travelled on the Transylvania from Londonderry which arrived in NY 1929.
He left a wife and two children behind in Ireland but they subsequently lost touch with him and were never able to track him down.
He was my Mothers Uncle. Her father did receive a few letters from him but no correspondance after that.
I will enquire from NARA if he was nationalized as you suggested.
