Genealogy ~ McClesky vs. Mcclusky

To Anyone Out There....
I have been attempting to trace my husband's Irish genealogy based on what I have been told, which is not much.
The family name is "McClesky" and I have found nothing relating this name to Irish ancestry, although obviously it is. Recently I've come across the Irish name of Mcclusky, same pronunciation, different spelling. Does anyone know if this is the same name and possibly spelling changed somewhere along the way?
Please help with this information if you are able! Thanks so much....
