WILL of - Elizabeth McClurken

       Know all by these presents that I, Elizabeth McClurken, the widow of the late John McClurken, deceased, being advanced in age, sick and weak of body, but of sound mind and memory and calling to mind my approaching mortality, do hereby make and publish this my last will and testament, the tenor of which is as follows, Viz:

First, I do commit my soul and body into the hands of my creator and redeemer thru eternity to be saved. I wish my body to be decently interred by my executor, and as for what I am possessed of as to the things of this world, I do hereby leave and bequeath the same as follows, viz:

       First, I leave and bequeath unto my son-in-law, William Trussell, and his wife, Sally, the sum of $2 and no more.

       Second, I leave and bequeath unto my son-in-law, Samuel Gibson, and his wife, Molly, the sum of $2 and no more.

       Third, I leave and bequeath unto my son, John, $100 in cash and a heiffer named "Star."

       Fourth, I leave and bequeath unto my son-in-law, Robert Gordon, and his wife, Elizabeth all the balance of lent money belonging to me or in hand whether on the house or lent at present, and also a cow and calf to said Robert Gordon and his wife as aforesaid, and after payment of burial charges, debts, etc., I leave and bequeath unto my son, John, and son-in-law, Robert Gordon, all the balance of my worldly estate, share and share alike, to be equally and mutually divided amongst themselves and should they not be harmonious in the division, I allow all to be sold by my executor, and the net proceeds divided as above, share and share alike, and I do hereby nominate and ordain my son(-in-law?), Robert Gordon, to the only and sole executor of this my last will and testament as above stated, as witness my hand and seal this 17th day of December A.D. 1831.
