I am a descendant of James McClurkin who came from the County of Amtrim, Ballymena, Ireland. He came on the ship "Don Luce" with 8 children: Samuel, b. 1752; Thomas, b. 1756; Eleander; Jean; Catherine; Jenet; James, Jr, b. 1750, Lilly. I have a copy of his will from the Chester Co, SC courthouse that mentions each of these children. He also mentions grandsons John, Andrew, and James McClurkin and granddaughter, Mary Young (Eleander's daughter). Also he mentions sons-in-laws, David Waid and John Maben. Will was probated in Sept. 1795. His son Samuel served in the SC Militia during the Revolutionary War. He died about 1794 without a will. Some of my information came from Lois Meyer, mentioned in previous follow-up.
