Found in Nottoway, VA tax list, 1791--just one male over 16 in household, no slaves. Apparently still in Nottoway (living with his father-in-law, Samuel Morgan)in 1806, but in 1810 appears in the census, Abbeville SC, married with four young males, three females (Later law suit against his wife in Abbeville names only three sons, Samuel, William and James.).

His daughter, Harriet, said in the 1880 census (Cobb Co. GA) that her father was born in England. Does anyone have information about this man?
