You can google McClures of America which has a lot of information, especially a chapter in the book by Rev. McClure.

The Clan MacLeod includes a McClure sept (a related family).

My line came from County Donegal, Ireland, and were Ulster Scots (or Scots Irish). That is as far back as I have been able to trace for sure. However, I have some indications that they may have come to Donegal from the Galloway area of South West Scotland during.

My line came from Donegal, through Pennsylvania, then down to Rockingham County, VA.
