In search of info. re: my gr.grandfather G.W. McClure b.8/2/1828 or 1832 Indiana, married Anna Ransome Temple, b. 1857 Indiana. Moved to Georgrtown, Vermilion, Illinois with the occupation of dentist. Their children were Delbert C. and Carlin Hamlin McClure(my grandfather). My grandfather left a family tree with missing information. It links to the genealogy of William & Francis McClure: William McClure was born in Virginia on May 18,1795. He died on October 27, 1850 at 2:00 AM. Aged 55 years, 9 months and 9 days. Married Francis (Fanny Rose) on January 5,1815. Fanny Rose was born on April 10, 1796. She died on May 5, 1850. Aged 54 years, 1 month and 19 days. Then adds:The ancestry of William McClure were undoubtedly as follows:
John McClure - 12 children
Samuel McClure - 7 children
William McClure - 2 children
The will of John McClure in 1777 mentions 12 children as follows:
Samuel, Alexander, Mary, Agnes, Jennet, Malcolm, Hannah, Rebecca, John, Halbert,
Moses and Nathaniel.
Being somewhat new to genealogy/family tree research. I need help figuring this out. Yipes.
