Tereasa,
Since I did not have my John H. McClure's wife's name, I would be cautious that we have the right one. I too think this is more then a long shot. In fact, I have contacted another Broome County McClure researcher and she has looked into other McClures that left the nest in Broome County to go to Ks and other points west. So that is also a good sign. He may have departed Broome County with others. I am sure I will hear from her soon. If I am not in error, I think I have herd her talk of Jewel Ks. Before!! I am not sure though.
One other item that is pointing to this John H. McClure. The last known address of his father John was Keytesville, Charition Co. Mo. !!! I think we are on to a connection.
There are two other lines of McClure in NY that we need to look into. One line was in Western NY and the other was in the Albany area. No connection has yet to be found between the NY lines.
