i have traced my family and it goes as follows: john mcclung imigrated from scotland to ireland about 1691 with his family including son john who died about 1788 in rockenbridge county, va. his son william "grandfather billie" settled in greenbrier county wv. he had a son william "chunky billie" mcclung, who had a son john monroe mcclung, who had a son marshall mcclung, who had a son edward mcclung, who had a son edward wallace mcclung, who had a son, aubrey mcclung, who had a son, norris delano mcclung, who was my father.info on the last four generations i got from my grandmother and the rest i got when i figured out how to read the book "the greenbrier mcclung's", which if anyone has ever seen is very difficult to do it took several months and lots of paper.at some point marshall mcclung moved to nicholas county, wv and my great grandfather moved to fayette county, wv.just thought you might be interested.from, proud to be a mcclung
