Hello:
While searching for my MCLEAN ancestors in Kirkcudbrightshire area of SW Scotland I was very surprized to find them listed in the Family History Centers there as MCCLUNE. From the mid 1600's they went from Mull Scot. to N.Ireland, to SW Scot,to Nova Scotia Canada in 1800-1805. They were always MCLEANS except in SW Scotland where they were McClunes. This may be of some help {maybe not}Lots of Williams,James,John, David,Charles.Always willing to share info
