Hugh -

My husband's great grandmother is said to be named Mary McCloy. She married a McKillop (family stroies say Patrick) and had John J. McKillop who immigrated to America and is fairly well documented from him down. I am trying to trace the family back in Ireland.

I found this for McCloys in the proper area of Antrim Ireland:

1841/1851 Northern Ireland Census Abstracts, Part II - 1851 Census from Old Age Pension Records, Page 324

Antrim Glenarm Lr Layd Lubitavish

McCloy 0258528
Michael na Head
Martha na Wife nee Smith
Daniel 18 son
Robert 16 son
Jane 14 dau
John 12 son
Alexander 10 son
Matilda 8 dau
Mary 2 dau

I think this Mary could be our Mary, but do not know yet. Perhaps a name in this Michael McCloy family will be of some help to you.
