Michael, My Grandfather was John (Jack) McCloy. He married Mary McFetridge. They were married in June of 1917 in Glendive Mt and combined their homesteads on McCune creek (near Circle). I do believe that we are speaking of the same man. My father is Albert J. McCloy, youngest son of Jack and Mary. His older brothers were William (Bill), Robert (Elmo), David and his sister Agnes (Aggie). Jack's father was John McCloy, who married Esther Murphy. Neither of them ever left County Antrim, Northern Ireland. (Near Cushendall) John died on May 14th, 1933. Their daughter Esther married Dan Murphy. The couple homesteaded near Circle MT, and eventually 'sponsored' Dan's younger brothers as well as Esther's brother Jack. Dan's two brothers had married McFetridge girls, and their sister Mary came to visit in 1915, (after having spent several years earning her way as a single woman in the US.) She met Jack McCloy, and the rest is history. I am curious to find out how we are cousins, (as we must be) and if the 'John McCloy' who never left Antrim is who is being searched for. Thanks.
