According to my husband his family was living in Scotland and moved to Ireland because of Bonnie Prince Charlie's persecutions. Around the 1700's two brothers emigrated to the United States. One stayed in the east and another went out west. Do you have any more information on the McCloughans that emmigrated to the US. At the moment I do not have access to the immigration records. Names on this side of the McCloughans: John Marshall, William Alden, Samuel Hudson, Earl, Carl, & Merlin. Maybe this will help with your research. Please answer at this forum and to my e-mail address.
