I believe Batson and Carroll lines married into one or more McCleskey lines, so I'm posting this for anyone with them in their line. I don't know any more than what is posted.
Katherine Lee Batson Carroll was born on February 9, 1961
in Abilene, Texas. She died peacefully in her home on July 25, 2010 after a four year battle with ovarian cancer. Kathy was a selfless, loyal, and genuine woman, evidenced
by her many friends and loved ones. She found purpose in life through her daughters, serving as an example and inspiration to them and everyone around her. She is survived by her beloved daughters, Kelsey and McKenzie;
Kelsey's fiance, Ronnie; her parents, Frank and Darlene Batson; her sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Tony Daniel; her nephews, Zach, Tyler, Jordan and his wife Jill,
Brandon, and Taylor; her mother-in-law, Wilma Carroll; her brother-in-law, Johnny and his wife, Debbie; and her countless friends who all loved her very much. Kathy moved to Austin from Abilene in 1983, where she has lived for the past 27 years. Kathy served as the court reporter for the
Honorable Lee Yeakel, United States District Court for seven years. She also served as the court reporter for other federal district judges, including the Honorable William Wayne Justice. The entire court family of the
Western District of Texas will miss her grace and friendship. Her family and close friends would like to thank the entire staff at Texas Oncology and MD Anderson for their great care and support during her journey.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Austin
