Hi Billy,
Just a note here from your friendly McClendon Y-DNA Project Group Admin., Mary Lee.
I know everything that there is to know about the descendants of Jesse McClendon and Susannah White of Jackson Co., TN., including their McClendon 67 marker Y-DNA sequence. I know this because this is my McClendon line.
So you are going to be fortunate enough to learn, as soon as your remaining test results come in, if you match my Jesse's line.
Jesse McClendon of Jackson Co's line has shown one, so far, distinct mutation, that distinguishes it from the larger McClendon sequence norm that our project is, so far, showing. Of course, we do not know exactly when that mutation occured, so a lack of the mutation does not rule you out of Jesse's line. But having the mutation would pretty well fix someone into Jesse of Jackson Co.'s descendant line.
I will give you all of the information that I have on the male descendant lines of my Jesse McClendon of Jackson Co.
Billy, your 67 marker Y-DNA results will move our McClendon Y-DNA Project towards establishing a sequence for the McClendons of Hardeman Co., TN.
If there are any other Hardeman Co., TN. McClendon descendants out there, please consider joining us. The same goes for the Lawrence Co., TN descendants of Bryant McClendon.
Every test result is crucial to sorting out the descendant lines of the McClendons of America. Thank you, Billy, for deciding to become a part of this historic project.
Mary Lee
