This is a shot in the dark. I am a member of the McClendon DNA project. I note that there is a Jesse McClendon in your lineage. I have a Jacob McClendon born August 26, 1802 and died May 22, 1849. He married a Lucinda Lnu. They resided in Hardeman County, Tennessee.I have no idea as to where he came from other than the census data indicates that Lucinda was born in Kentucky. Jacob came to Hardeman county sometime shortly after 1820.

When I look at the Census data for Tennessee in 1820 there is a Jesse McClendon and Geroge McClendon living in Jackson County, Tennessee. They are the only McClendons I find in the 1820 Census for TN other than a Bryant McClendon of Lawrence TN.

I was wondering if my Jacob could be a brother of George (a name prevalent in my lineage) and that they are the sons of Jesse?

Jackson County is a bit far from Hardeman County, but it is closer to Kentucky where Lucinda came from.

Also if someone from this lineage is a part of the McClendon DNA it would be interesting to see if we match. I submitted to the 67 Ydna and thus far only the 12 has been processed.

Any thoughts here
