I have a great grandfather Samuel McCliment (1859) who's father was James McClement (born about 1830) (wife: Margaret Glen) from the parish of Ballyhalbert, Co Down. His brothers were John and Hugh (I believe the same as your Hugh). I believe his father, then would be William McClement, a weaver. Samuel was baptized in the Ballyhemlin Presbyterian Church. He and his family left for Ayrshire, Scotland in the mid 1870s and settled in a mining town, Lethanhill (or aka Burnfoot) in the parish of Dalmellington. Sam's siblings were: Agnes(aka Nancy), William, Margaret, Thomas, James, and Robert. If anyone has further info on William or his family, email me or post a message. Thanks.
