I e-mailed my Bleary/Corcreeny area McCleary background to you. I'm the only family member out here.We have a few McClearys with McCleary surnames in NY,AZ, Belfast (since 1900) & Bleary, Ireland, but many, many in Australia. I've lost almost all the Corcreeny McCleerys, though I think some are in Lurgan, N. Ire (I'm tracing "Warren/ Waring McCleery"'s & "Hill Street".)
Griffith has quite a batch of Belfast McCleerys-have you sorted through them for family connections in general? I couldn't follow family lines of the early folk, but Ellis Island original manifests may help with later families.
I had thought Belfast McClearys were declaring bankruptcy after the 1798 revolution. What is William McCleery doing with 3 acres of land in Belfast!!?Am I to assume the Ship Street Robert was related to the owner of the ship "Jane McCleary?"Can you fill in some background?
I have been out here for only 30 years, and don't know about the San Juan Island McCleary family or the logging town, McCleary.I assumed they were associated with the Vancouver McCleary family and not from the old Pennsylvannia McCleary families. Can anyone help me out?
