Perhaps we are related down the line a ways.
I just located information on my Great Great Grandfather, Matthew McClean...he had a son named John.Could they be related?
I show...
Father: Matthew McClean (b. 1842 in Belfast, Ireland)
Mother: Ellen (Baker) McClean (b. 1844? in Lewes, Sussex, England
Children:
Emma (b. 30 June 1867 in Newry, Down, Ireland)
Matthew (b. 26 March 1870 in Brighton, Sussex, England
Ellen (b. about 1873 in Brighton, Sussex, England)
John Henry (b. abt 1875 in Brighton, Sussex, England)
Francis (b. abt 1878 in Brighton, Sussex, England)
As the above information was obtained from the British Census in 1881 and only included those who were still residing at home, it is quite possible that they had many more children that were not included in this census.Perhaps some who already moved out on their own, and perhaps some that were no born yet.
Matthew (b. 1870) was my Great Grandfather and had quite a large family himself, consisting of 12 children (one died at birth)
I would be interested in hearing from you.
