McLean-McClean from Glasgow Scotland 170
Looking for family. 6 brothers arrived fromGlasgow,Scotland in the 1700. They were descendents of Lord Fitz'Hugh McLean.
They settled in NY where one of the brothers worked as a engineer or surveyor on the Erie canel. Alex McLean became the first steam boat captian on the Ohio river. The other boys setteled in the All.Mts. John settled in Addison PA about 1795. Some went into the distilling business. William had a fight with his brothers and added the C to McClean. I am looking for the brothers. I do not have all the names.
