McClay Surname DNA Project in Progress
Posted by: Rob Livingston (ID *****7627) Date: November 04, 2004 at 11:33:41
  of 219

Men bearing the surnames McClay, MacLea, and MacLeay are being recruited for a DNA project begun in 2003 that helps to identify the DNA "signatures" of the various McClay families that originated in Ireland and Scotland. This study may be especially helpful to genealogist who have exhausted traditional methods of research and hit a dead end. The study also involves the surnames MacOnlea, MacKinlay, Dunlevy, and Livingston. For more information about the Project, see a description at: http://pages.sbcglobal.net/rlivingston1488/dna.htm or: http://www.familytreedna.com/public/livingston_maclea_dna/
