Searching for the family of my ancestor, Nancy Malinda McClaren b July 27, 1827 Perry Co, TN, d/o ( Daniel?) McCLAREN & Jane (USSERY?)??, b Abt. 1790 NC, d Aft. 15 Jul 1853 Decatur, TN. Children: Martha Jane McClaren 1824 - Aft. 1860, m W. D. Murphy 1822 -, Benjamin Franklin McClaren 1825 - Aft. 1870, Male McClaren Abt. 1826 - Aft. 1840, & Nancy Malinda McClaren 1827. Prob in 1830 Hickman Co., TN census with husband, 1840 Perry Co., TN.,p.158, next door to Abner Ussery, who had been Admn, for Daniel McClaren, Jr.'s Estate in the l830's in Perry Co., TN. In rec of Perry Co., TN., Journal of the Court, Vol.3, Wm. Bird, Chairman, etc., for the use of Geo. W. McClaren, Admin., etc., vs Abner Usry (Ussery), Admin., etc. As he was next to the widow Jane McClaren in the 1840 census, and
Admin. of the Estate of Daniel McClaren.

There was a connection in this family to Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest, he was kin to Nancy, probably her cousin.

I would love to hear from others who connected to this line in TN & NC.

TIA, Helen @Hewick
