Sorry for the delay in responding. I am not sure about your line but I suspect you come from the line of Alexander.
Daniel 1 was born in Scotland in the early 1700's and emigrated... probably with General Braddock but not sure. What is sure is that he was killed by Indians around 1754. He left two sons and some daughters. The daughters are the most obsure of the ancestors. One son was Daniel (Daniel 2, born 1749 or so), he fought at Cowpens in the revolutionary war and was awarded the battle field for whatever it was he did there..he later moved to Tennessee. Alexander was the other brother..You may come from that group. Who knows how they kept in touch?? but the name Virgil only shows up with my grandfather, my father and myself. If the name shows on your side it must relate to some common ancestor.. perhaps from Balquider or Pershire. It would be interesting to know about that. Another strange fore name that shows up from time to time is "Prince". Know anything about that??Have a good day.. Bruce McClearen
