Greetings!
I have been in contact with a McClanahan descendant who traces her line back to a Ditter McClanahan, who lived at Hampshire, TN, near Columbia and Mount Pleasant, TN. She refers to the homeplace as "McClanahan Hill". Ditter's wife was Valera Blackburn, and his father's name was Samuel, probably of the Adairsville, KY group that came there from NC.
