This information is similar to what my grandfather, R.M. McClain, wrote in his 1930s pamphlet of McClain family genealogy, and which subsequently proved to be wrong. Henry McClain, according to his application for a Revolutionary War pension, was born in 1750 in Lancaster, Pa., moved to Virginia and died in Nelson County, Va.
I'm curious as to your source for his brothers' names: they might be accurate and would be further clues in tracing Henry's ancestry.
