John McClain b. 1771 d.1881 according to his tombstone at McClain Cemetery Lewis Co., Tn. He is buried next to his wife Elizabeth McMillan McClain and their infant daughter.

John McClain was in the war of 1812 and served with Andrew Jackson. On his way home he stopped in Lewis/Maury Co. and stayed the night with a Mr. ____Ball and his wife who was the sister of Elizabeth McMillan. He later moived his family to that area called Mt. Joy Community. Any help on this relative would be most appreciated.
