William W. McChesney living in Monmouth County, New Jersey in 1890

William W. McChesney was supposed to have been a Civil War soldier. In the 1890 Census he claimed to have served in the 112th New York Infantry (and also a Maryland regiment?) and also claims to have been wounded, but there is no one by that name on the roster of the 112th. My guess is that he served under an alias. Can anyone tell me the name he served under, his full date of death, and where he is buried?
