Hello - I just found your message. William, the younger brother of your ancestor, Jane, is my ggg-grandfather. Much of the McCaw information I have is from the research done by his great-grandson, Robert McCaw.

William moved from Indiana to Olney, Illinois in September 1852, and can be found in the 1860 and 1870 Federal censuses in Claremont Twp., Richland Co., Illinois. He died there March 7, 1880.

Have you been able to find any information on the parents of James and Elizabeth?
