It turns out the Catharine ECKERT in the 1860 census with the McCAUSLAND boys is their unmarried aunt, sister of their late mother, Sarah (ECKERT) McCAUSLAND, wife of Thomas T. McCAUSLAND. For more information, see family group sheet:
