Sorry Shelli, I probably confused you. Robert Colquhoun is William Campbell Colhoun's father. William C. was the first to adopt the Irish spelling Colhoun which was later changed to Calhoun. He even made a provision in his will requiring his descendants to adopt the new spelling.Robert was the son of Adam Colquhoun.Adam was the son of Alexander Lord of Luss and Colquhoun.Because he was the fifth son and not the first he did not inherit his father's title, but did inherit a 1000 acre estate in Ireland.Adam and his wife both died young and his son Robert was sent to live with his Aunt in Ireland and eventually inherited his father's 1000 acre Estate which I believe was called Corkagh. Hope this helps. I assumed you knew the line of Colquhouns back to the 1200's but if not I have it, plus its on the web several places. If you were not aware of this line it might interest you to know that it connects to the Stewart Kings of Scotland and then back thru the Earls of Orkney to Norweigian Kings.
