Hi Ruth - this may not be of any help but my grandmother's name was Sara McClausland tho I am not sure of my spelling as my dad would never talk of his family. She married a Harrison Steeley but I don't have the info as to when right at hand. Possibly around 1870 (?) as my dad was born in 1900 and had an older brother. They were originally from Kentucky and settled in Kansas. Sound as tho it may help you? I only ran across one reference to Sara. There is a reference to a James McCausland of Humboldt Kansas. He was married to an Eliza who was deceased at the time of this info. As I'm trying to get tons of papers in order to send to a Steeley researcher my time seems to be tied up a lot but once I do get this done, I'll put my papers back in order and reread them more closely.
