My 1999 book The Oil Creek Flemings of Venango County, Pennsylvania, with a chapter on Lytles, is out of print.
Have updated the Lytle section and put it online. The site pertains mainly to Lytles of Venango, Forest, Crawford and Warren Counties, Pennsylvania. One branch moved to Nebraska.

William and [?] Lytle probably migrated from the north of Ireland to, eventually, western Pennsylvania in the late 18th Century or early 19th Century.Three known children were Nancy Lytle, born 1779, married Joseph McCaslin/McCasland; John Lytle, born 1780-1790, married Sarah Morrison; and William Lytle, born circa 1795, married Isabella McFate. Related families include McCaslands/McCaslins, Neills, McFates, McArthurs, Flemings and Sheldons.

The web site is
