African-American McCaskills in Cassatt, Kershaw Co., SC

My grandmother was Mary Leather McCaskill - Farmer. She was born May 17, 1907 in Cassatt, SC; Kershaw County and died December 15, 1986. Her father was Logan McCaskill and her mother was Della Doby-McCaskill who later died in childbirth. Della's father was Amos Doby, a Minister. I don't have her mother's name, which I am vigorously searching for. All were mulattos.

Logan then married Juanita ("Nita"). I don't know her maiden name. My grandmother's siblings were:

Chee (Uncle Chief) McCaskill
Hilliard McCaskill
Lottie (Died in childhood)McCaskill

Grandma Mary married John Eastover Farmer and had six children. My mother Lula Mae Farmer-Forman was one of their daughters four daughters.

If anyone have any information, i.e. photos, names, and other information of the African-American branch of McCaskills, or Amos Doby's wife's name or Juanita's maiden name, please share. Feel free to email me:

Thank you so much! Looking forward hearing from you, "Cousin"!
