Hi Nancy;
Yes there is definitely some confusion here so I rummaged through what I have,
found a copy of the origional marraige bond between Mary Hamilton,daughter of
Achibald Hamilton and John McCarver entered into on Dec, 19th 1787 in Lincoln Co.
signed by William Hamilton and John McCarver. As I said I am looking at a copy of
origional document so there is no doubt on that count. If you want copy e-mail me.
Also I have posible father of John as James McCarver and possible father of James as
Archibald McCarver. I also have a copy of a will by John McCarver dated Nov 2, 1829
showing same children but census indicates that John Jr. and George Sr. either belong
with or lived with family. Would love to get more info in these.
