Searching for Nancy Ann McCarty b/ 1848/49 Sugar Creek, Vigo County, Indiana Parents were Robert McCarty and Mary Ann Graham Had a brother James Benson McCarty.
Robert remarried Rebecca Sherman after Mary Ann had died.
Rebecca died and Robert joined the Civil War for the Union
They had lived in Beardstown Illinois in 1860 Census.
It was stated that Nancy Ann went to live at the Chandler househould in Chandlerville Illinois after Robert left for war. She was called Anna at the time, we cannot find her after that. Anywone have any information on her it would be appreciated.
