I purchased the subject undated photo of a young woman identified on the back:
"Lillian Macarty (Tyrrell)"
I found another photo of this individual with her husband, architect John B. Tyrrell, posted on a website named "Scotts Photographica Collection," under the caption "Portrait Taken With a No. 2 Kodak Camera."
I don't know when or where Lillian Macarty was born.
John and Lillian had at least three children:
Phoebe E. Tyrrell, born 1892 in Oakland, Alameda Co., CA
Daniel J. Tyrrell, born about 1893 in CA
Jessie M. Tyrrell, born 1895 in Oakland, Alameda Co., CA
I found these three children, living together as single adults, listed in the 1930 Census data for Washington, D.C. They resided at 1630 Irving St. N.W. Their mother, the person in the photo, died on 20 Dec 1928 at her residence, 1329 Irving St. N.W., Washington, D.C. She is described as the widow of John B. Tyrrell in her published obituary. Lillian and her children are buried at Oak Hill Cemetery, Washington, D.C.

I discovered that another person who rescues old family photos had earlier acquired a studio portrait of infant Phoebe taken by Webster Art Gallery, Oakland, CA, and she donated it to the East Bay Genealogical Society.
