Hi,
Thank you for the information. Given that my gg grandfather was born George McCartney Wilson and is buried in the McCartney cemetary, I am assuming that the connection to the McCartney's is through his mother. I think they sometimes gave the mother's maiden name as middle name to children.

Do you have any information on any McCartney women who may be his mother? Are you aware of any McCartney's that married a Wilson? I am a novice with this search, and I do appreciate your response.
