DEATH of an OLD CALIFORNIAN -- Dennis McCARTHY, an old Californian, and a well known democratic politician of early times, died at Yorkville, N.Y., October 16th, in the 52nd year of his age. Mr. McCARTHY in 1849 kept the Washington Hotel, Sacramento street, San Francisco. He was
subsequently Street Commissioner in the same city, in which position he accumulated considerable wealth, and in 1855 returned to New York.
