You have much more information than I do. Joseph Vinyard McCarter is my g. g. grandfather through his son Jesse Martin McCarter. I just got some info on a sibling of Jesse, Sarah Ann, but those are the only children of Joseph that I know. You mentioned that he had eight children. In an earlier post you mentioned Moses and Joseph. Do you have information on the children of Joseph and Rebecca Jane?
I will add the names in your post, but just to be sure, the lineage goes Moses - William - William - Joseph, yes? Also, I have a birth date for Rebecca Jane (Jennie) Thurman of 28 Feb. 1821 and you give 19 Feb. 1823. Can you tell me where you got that date? Thanks for all your work.
