That is very interesting--all of us who are doing McCart ancestry are running into the same problems.My 2nd great
grandfather, James McCart, was married to Sarah Mariah Hutchins (or Hutchens). Ancestry shows her parents as Abner Franklin Hutchins and either Lucinda Deviney or Jane Bradshaw.I think there were multiple marriages and children
by different moms in the McCart family, so this complicates things.
I have Pickens, South Carolina, as a place of birth for Abner Hutchens and Mercer, Kentucky, as the birth place for Jane Bradshaw.
