Kevin-
I've been researching my family tree off and on for about 5 years.I'm in the World Family Tree Volume 44/Tree 101. My father, Dale Streeter McCart, died when I was 2 1/2 years old and consequently, I have relatively nothing for his side of the family tree. However, the following information is on his birth certificate:
PLACE OF BIRTH-
County:Tripp
Township:Holsclaw
City:Keyapaha (*his military documents have "Winner", SD)
State: South Dakota
FATHER:Donald Henry McCart
Age at last B-Day:44
Birthplace:Eau Claire, WI
Occupation:Farmer - 17 years
MOTHER:Maggie Mae Streeter (Margaret)
Age at last B-Day:28
Birthplace:Octavia, NB
Occupation:Housekeeper - 31 years
Number of children of this mother
(at time of & including this birth):9
Born alive and now living:9

As you will note, my Grandmother's (Maggie Mae Streeter)
age at last b-day "28" and Occupation "housekeeper - 31 years" don't quite add up.She was alledgedly 89 when she died in the early 1970's.She was married twice. She had 5 children from her 1st marriage (surname-Imm) and 4 children from her second marriage -
Donald McCart "Donny" (whereabouts unknown since 1940's)
Patrick McCart (living in Sacramento, CA since 1940)
Kaye McCart (1927? to 1954 - leukemia)
Dale Streeter McCart (9-15-1930 to 4-3-1967 - Brain Tumor)
Her 1st husband (Imm) was institutionalized and Donald McCart apparently had a bit of trouble with the bottle... "I drove the 1st one crazy and the 2nd one to drink"!
My grandfather (Donald Henry McCart) moved my grandmother and all 9 kids to Sacramento, California in 1940.He, however, went back to South Dakota alone around 1950.
I don't know if any of this info is related to you or not, but if it is I would love to hear back from you.
Sincerely,
Colleen McCart-Flynn
